What we are
Expert Witness Services is an independent expert witness network. We connect solicitors, barristers, insurers and in-house legal teams with experts who can produce robust opinion and reports, and give evidence, across technical and commercial disputes. We focus on seven sectors where the issues are genuinely specialist and the wrong expert is costly.
How we choose experts
We select on substance: relevant qualifications, real-world sector experience, and an understanding of the expert's role and duties in litigation and arbitration. Where an expert is new to giving evidence, we say so. We would rather offer a smaller, honest shortlist than a long list that wastes your time.
How we work with you
You tell us the matter; we check fit, availability and conflicts; you review CVs and speak with the expert before deciding. The instruction is between you and the expert, on your terms. We aim to be quick, candid and easy to deal with — because in most matters, time matters.
A note on independence. Every expert we introduce works independently and owes an overriding duty to the court under CPR Part 35. We never ask an expert to shape an opinion to suit a case, and we'd encourage you to walk away from anyone who would.
